EXERCISE REHABILITATION
Exercise Rehabilitation aims to restore optimal function to parts of the body that has been strained or injured. Results are achieved through a carefully tailored selection of exercises that strengthen and mobilise the muscles and joints.
You can expect three stages within your tailored exercise rehabilitation plan to help you return to pain-free living:
Early stage rehabilitation involves gentle exercises that encourage circulation and mobility whilst allowing the damaged tissue to heal.
Mid stage rehabilitation involves progressive weight loading to the muscles, tendons, bones or ligaments to develop strength in the healed tissue. This ensures that the stresses and strains of everyday life can be endured in a safe and pain-free manner.
Late stage rehabilitation involves functional exercises and drills, to stress the new tissues. This results in improved strength, mobility and endurance, and ensures the body can withstand more strenuous movement and exercise with a reduced risk of re-injury.
